How to prepare
Finca Carrizal coffee?

At Finca Carrizal, coffee is more than a beverage—it’s a passion and a sensory experience. For the perfect cup using an electric drip coffee maker, we recommend a ratio of 1 gram of coffee per 17 ml (0.6 oz) of water.

To fully enjoy its fresh aromas and flavors, serve your coffee within the first 20 minutes, or keep it warm in a thermos. Feel free to adjust the strength to your taste—richer, milder, just the way you love it.

Cold Brew Method
with French Press

Water-to-Coffee Ratio for Finca Carrizal: For a smooth, refreshing cold brew, we recommend a ratio of 1 gram of coffee for every 8 ml of water. Example: 50 g of coffee for 400 ml of cold water. Feel free to adjust the ratio to suit your taste—stronger or milder, just the way you like it.

  • What You’ll Need:
  • Finca Carrizal coffee
  • Cold or room-temperature water
  • French press
  • Scale
  • Grinder (if using whole beans)

How to Brew the Perfect Cold Brew with a French Press:

  • Grind the coffee coarsely, similar to the texture of sea salt. This prevents over-extraction and ensures a clean brew.
  • Add the ground coffee to the French press. We suggest 22 g of coffee per cup (approx. 180–200 ml) of water.
  • Pour in 400 ml of cold or room-temperature water, making sure all grounds are fully saturated.
  • Place the lid on the French press without pressing the plunger, and let it steep in the refrigerator for 12 to 18 hours.
  • After steeping, slowly press the plunger down to separate the coffee from the grounds.
  • Serve chilled, over ice if desired. You can enjoy it straight, or dilute with water, milk, or a plant-based alternative.

Sip and enjoy a cold brew that’s naturally sweet, smooth, and full of character—perfect for any time of day.
